Start of a friendship

Created by Gary 2 years ago

When I moved to skelmersdale when I was 9 years old iain was asked by the teacher in our class at Delph side school to help me settle in and look after me . At that time how could I of understood what kind of an impact that would have on my life . Apart from having his little brother Andrew trying to beat me up playfully in the playground I started on a truly amazing new life with new friends that would forge into my heart .

We were so different but there was a friendship from the start and it stayed through to senior school and into our adult years . I always looked as if he was my big brother, always there to guide me and offer his wisdom because he was wise beyond his years . His drawings blew me away ,the skill and confidence in himself was something I never had and I did look up to him . I don't understand why he's gone or why so many people I have known have gone but they must have needed the goodness in him to start again somewhere else , there is more to life than this life and wherever he is I'm sure he's doing it to the best of his ability.

Iain your always popping up in my life weather it be a memory or a dream or just a moment in my day . Your never forgotten like all our other friends that have passed away, I have lots of regrets of the past but im glad to call you my friend . Gary balshaw
